Mark leads the Coalition Incident Response organisation in the UK, working with brokers and clients to educate on cyber risk and respond to cyber events.
During his career, he spent 16 years with the West Midlands Police, investigating cybercrime in their specialist regional organised crime unit. He joins CIR from network security specialist Pragma, where he was Head of Incident Response.
During his tenure with law enforcement, Bird investigated many high-profile cases, supporting U.K. small businesses and large corporate enterprises in investigating cyber attacks. While with Pragma, he supported clients through business-critical cyber events, including business email compromises, ransomware attacks, and insider threats, including theft of data and intellectual property.
